This site was setup to accompany an exhibition in Rutgers' Alexander Library, May 3 - August 31, 2002,
curated by: Dr. Briavel Holcomb, Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, Rutgers University and
Michael Siegel, Cartographer, Department of Geography, Rutgers University. Since then, new old material has been added.
Here is Dr. Holcomb's text describing the exhibition.
Here is Dr. Holcomb's text for her New Brunswick walking tour.
Here is Dr. Holcomb's video about urban change in New Brunswick. <http://policy.rutgers.edu/faculty/holcomb/newbrunswick>
Dr. Peter Wacker's Virtual Field Trip of New Brunswick
Most of the historical maps and photos are from Rutgers' Special Collections and Archives
The exhibition focused on New Brunswick's Central Business District.
The display cases were organized in a generalized geographic order to show changes through time,
though many of the images overlap between areas (especially the air photos and maps).
